I give you my honest review about the Sharp Notevision XR-32X Multimedia Projector. Don't buy before you read this.

I am a home theater enthusiast. I have experience with several different projectors from different brands, either for my own use or helping out friends.

This Sharp Notevision XR-32X Multimedia Projector delivers a much brighter, sharper video quality. Movies and video games all show up with great contrast. It offers all the TV pictures plus goes up to 1080p.

Its lamp life is up to 4000 hours in low power ("eco + quiet") mode and up to 2,000 hours in standard mode. Even in my dark theater set up in the basement without any window, the eco/quiet mode still gives beautiful picture quality.

This projector has 2,500 ANSI Lumens. I wanted high lumens projector as I was using the projector both at my home theater and in a classroom setting for my mom. I bought one first for myself and I was so delighted by its performance that I decided to buy another one for my mom. My mom told with me this model was the best projector she has ever used.

Another point that I like about this Sharp XR-32X Projector is that it offers both DVI and VGA interfaces at a price point lower than equivalent projectors that only offer VGA, yet at the same time the image quality is guaranteed. From my experience, the difference in image quality between DVI capable projectors and VGA-only projectors is very noticeable.

The fan is very quiet. The air circulation pathways have been redesigned in the 32X series over the old design of the 10S/10X models. That makes the projector run smoother with less heat.

This model is light and handy, suitable for travelling businessman. Installation takes minutes. All connections are supported. And it’s easy to configure. The menu and instructions are very intuitive. I run my HD Home Theater in 7.1 audio with 10 speakers (2 front presence speakers, 2 front tower speakers, 1 center channel, 1 powered-sub-woofer, 2 side speakers and 2 rear speakers using a Yamaha A/V unit - sound is awesome - the Yamaha A/V software/firmware allows you to have 2 extra "presence" speakers"). Setting up everything quickly and easily, my theater was ready in a moment and the whole experience of picture and sound quality was just awesome.

I recommended this Sharp XR-32X Projector to my brother who is the technical guy in a company. He replaced a bunch of old projectors with this model. He uses it for multiple formats ranging from simple movie viewing to large format multi-touch interactive wall installations. And it all works like charm.

I also recommended to my friend. He came down to my house for a football game. He said the image quality struck him instantly. And the price was just amazing. He bought one projector just about 5 months ago and the quality was no where match this Sharp XR-32X Projector. He decided to buy one for his home theater and let the 5-month-old one go to his parents.

I definitely recommend this Sharp Notevision XR-32X Multimedia Projector. This is the best projector I’ve ever used. It’s suitable for both home and classroom use, both fixed and portable use. I’m confident to recommend it to everyone, in terms of quality and pricing.
